It’s surprising that with the decline of quality television that a network show like The Gates would sneak by without much fanfare. Sure, the vampire thing has reached its peak, but you’ll want to indulge before it becomes passe.

The newest paranormal mystery explores the dark secrets of a gated community full of vampires, witches, and werewolves. I like to think of it as a cross between Desperate Housewives and True Blood. I would definitely recommend this for your Sunday night wind down.

The Gates is on Sunday nights at 10pm and goes up against Cold Case and America’s Got Talent.

Looks like Sookie is stepping out on Bill… True Blood’s Anna Paquin has a hot pictorial in Nylon magazine. She also does an interview in which she says, “I don’t think a naked body is particularly shocking or interesting…” Good for you, Anna. But what does Vampire Bill think about vampire sex?

“The thing about vampirism is that it taps into a female point of view – you have an old-fashioned gentleman with manners who is a fucking killer… it’s an interesting duality, because in our present society it would be an odd thing for a woman to say, ‘I want my man to be physical with me.’ How, as a modern man, can you fucking work that?  It’s one thing to be polite and gentle… But when do you know it’s OK to crawl out of the mud and rape her [as Bill does in one scene]?… It’s difficult stuff for a bloke, but a vampire gets away with it…. I think that’s the attraction of the show – it’s looking back at a romantic time when men were men, but they were still charming.”

Here is Tom Colicchio doing a cheeky cooking segment on The Perspective — a show that I’ve never heard of — hosted by Victoria Davis. How sexy would he be as a real vampire!?

Lifetime will be airing The Messenger, which stars Edward Cullen’s leading lady. The movie is old, but I’m positive that execs are cashing in on Twilight craze. The promo even says “…Twilight‘s Kristen Stewart.”

If you’re like me and don’t have HBO…yet. Then you need to find other ways to catch True Blood. Although, it’s not the same… and I’ll be ordering HBO in about two weeks, watching online can fill a temporary void. I found this site that is holding me over (and allowing me to blog about the show) until I get my cable upgraded.

I tested it out and it’s for real! Hell yeah. Enjoy you Fang Bangers!
